Testimonials
What do others say about Fuego Duo? Read on:
“A writhing snake from toes to eyebrows is how I witnessed Katherine with her violin and Brian, strong and manly made a picture of competitive unison. The familial connection and humour were lovely to see. Their musical choices transported us to the far flung corners of God’s Kingdom. The range was from ‘the Animals’ to ‘Tango’ and everyone’s favourite ‘Smoke Gets in Your Eyes’. Bouncing the bow probably has a name but to me it was simply joyous. The clapping as an accompaniment was a sign of the audience enjoyment. Everyone agreed that the finale was a wonderful way to end the top class performance and send us off to a blissful slumberland.”

Fuego Duo: Bassendean Library Concert 4th March 2009
The Bassendean Memorial Library engaged the services of the musical duo called Fuego Duo for March 2009.
The Library conducts a variety of evening extension activities on a regular basis. These evening events are intended to have where possible, an educational, informational and entertainment component. These events offer opportunities for members of the community to be exposed to performances and experiences they might otherwise not consider. The events are free for attendees and interaction with performers, artists, presenters etc is offered before, during or after the event.
The brief to Fuego Duo was to provide an evening performance within the Library which contained examples of their musical interests, where possible, a description of the music and of course a quality musical performance.
Fuego Duo
Without equivocation I am able to say that the Fuego Duo provided a consummately professional evening. They checked out the venue prior to performing, made their minimal requirements known well in advance (IE preferred location, chair type etc) and were on site well in advance of the start time. Both members of Fuego Duo were extremely well presented, suitably attired for the advertised musical fare and both exhibited high consistent levels of personal and musical behaviour for the whole evening. The evening was enjoyed by 45 people –ranging in age from twelve through to the mid seventies. Each musical piece was preceded by a comprehensive and interesting description of its origin (where known), the recognised performer and the style in which the Duo would be performing that number.
After presenting an outstanding performance of selected numbers –including two encores- the two performers remained in the room with the exited and enthusiastic audience for an additional half hour or so, discussing their instruments, techniques and musical style.
The final word in this testimonial comes from the audience. There has been significant interest from people attending the performance by Fuego Duo for a repeat performance in the Library. Satisfaction from the recipients of the display of their skills and performance has to be the highest accolade.
I would be more than prepared to engage this duo again and am also prepared to further support this brief testimonial in what ever manner required.

This statement is to act as a reference for ‘Fuego Duo’ who performed as part of the 2009 Joondalup Festival.
The ensemble was punctual, professional and received excellent public feedback.
I would not hesitate to book ‘Fuego Duo’ for future events and concerts.
